ANTHRAX To Play Last Five Shows Of GIGANTOUR

ANTHRAX's reunited classic lineup of Joey Belladonna (vocals),Dan Spitz (guitar),Frank Bello (bass),Scott Ian (guitar) and Charlie Benante (drums) will be taking the place of DREAM THEATER on the Gigantour after the Toronto date and will be playing the last five shows of the tour. The following dates will feature ANTHRAX:

Sep. 06 – Edmonton, AB @ TBA
Sep. 08 – Calgary, AB @ TBA
Sep. 09 – Vancouver, BC @ TBA
Sep. 10 – Seattle, WA @ TBA
Sep. 11 – Portland, OR @ TBA

Gigantour is a six-week festival trek co-headlined by MEGADETH and DREAM THEATER. Other main-stage acts include FEAR FACTORY, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and NEVERMORE. Artists scheduled to appear on the second stage are SYMPHONY X, DRY KILL LOGIC, BOBAFLEX and LIFE OF AGONY.

As previously reported, ANTHRAX have set a September 27 release date for their brand-new live CD/DVD. The package is expected to include recordings made at the band's June 3 performance at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey along with documentary and behind-the-scenes-style footage covering the reunion of the band's classic lineup.

ANTHRAX will spend the next couple of months on the European festival circuit before taking a break and embarking on a U.S. headlining tour beginning in late October. The North American trek is expected to last well into December. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
